How disappointing, Bush vetoes war-funding bill. Not that I expected any less! This bill called for a pullout of US combat troops in Iraq by 2008! What is extending our troops tour in Iraq solving? Apparently if they pulled out too soon, it’d cause chaos in Iraq.. I ask then, what is going on there now? Isn’t it pretty much a civil war now? Isn’t there chaos there now? At what expense are we fighting this war that doesn’t seem to have an end in the near future? Loss of life? Innocent lives? Fathers, brothers, husbands, sons, mothers, sisters wives, and daughters.
It’s time he stands up and faces the truth. He made a mistake (IMO), families have suffered great losses at the expense of this mistake. Being the President does not mean you can’t make a mistake but for Pete’s sake, own up to it and start working with Congress to get our men and women home!
It’s so depressing. I, myself, do not have an loved ones serving in Iraq but I have many friends who’s sisters and brothers are. While I am not “anti-military” at all, I do feel this war was a mistake.

If people really want there to be peace in Iraq, they are pretty much going to have to kill every living being there to achieve it. There’s civil war while the US troops are there getting stuck in the middle of it, and it’ll be worse if the troops leave Iraq. They’re damned if they do and damned if they don’t.
The Democrats are just going to keep going until they get the job done. This war (any war really) is a waste of human life. I would like to now how wanting the troops to come home is “not supporting the troops or giving a victory to the terrorists?” The last time I checked, that was the pinnacle of supporting the troops, wanting to save their lives. Supporting the troops certainly isn’t extending tours of duty, and sending troops back after they’ve already been there 2 or 3 times. It’s a proven fact that a person that is overworked and not getting any sleep cannot continue to do an efficient job.

It’s maddening, quite frankly.

“New neuropsychological research is now suggesting that the inability to learn from one’s mistakes may indeed be at the root of a broad range of human problems, ranging from childhood bullying and truancy to aggressive acts like road rage to all manner of substance abuse. And this cognitive aberration, deep-wired into the neurons and genes, may even underlie the vagaries of normal human behavior and personality.”
All that coke-snorting and alcohol did GWB in.

Yeah, seriously Shelly lol. Now, he’s at it with another veto threat. Of course, this one has to do with gays and women’s rights.

I thought that doing something to gays was already a hate crime but I think it’s a good idea to add women to that list, since people like Bush think that women are 2nd class citizens. This guy really needs to stop trying to take away everyone’s rights, and start preserving them; which is what the President is supposed to do.
