I cured my sweet tooth. Yes I did! I bought myself some cookie dough and have been eating bits at the time, raw. I feel a bit guilty about it but it’s not enough to make me stop. Tehe!
We hit another wall with Jo’s check. His bank wants to place a very unreasonable 30 business day hold on it. A check from Merrill Lynch from a Wal-mart profit sharing/stock option account. Two big name companies, not just nationally (to the US) but internationally. It’s funny that anyone would expect a check from Wal-mart wouldn’t be paid, but what can we do? Nothing. If we can’t get it cashed at Money Mart (They said they should be able to if they can verify the funds tomorrow, couldn’t do this today because it was a holiday in the states), then I don’t know where else we could go and get it cashed. I really loath TD Canada for this. I told Jo that I no longer wanted to be added to his accounts there. I will never do business with them, personally, ever. If he wants to continue using them, fine but I won’t. He has direct deposit.. quite a bit each month and we put a lot of money into that account all through the month, so I feel their decision was a bit out there. Oh well.. we’ll see how things work out tomorrow I suppose!
Back to my cookie dough!
You know, it’s pretty sad when the webmistress, also known as the creator, of a group project / blog forgets to post her own entry! I have completely forgotten about posting my submission for this weeks theme over at photographygirls.com!! Ooopppsssy! My bad! I think a part of it was my being upset and mopey most of the week, trying to deal with the fact I couldn’t go home for my sister’s wedding! That in combination with my complete and utter laziness all weekend of course! I’m glad I didn’t decide to make weekly theme submissions mandatory! I’d be kicking my own rump out of the project. Haha!
Before choosing the new cooking blog name, I was going to go with “teresastreats.com” but was instantly turned off by the name as I thought about all the perverts that may stumble onto my site with such a name. How very unappetizing! I really wanted sugarandspice.com but it’s taken, along with many other names that Lori and I tried to come up with! It was one of the most frustrating things! I’ve never had that kind of difficulty getting a nice domain name, ever! I guess that proves there’s a first time for everything, huh?
I have some photos I need to get uploaded to the galleries over at teresamaree.com!
This entry is kind of all over the place. My apologies!
PS; Lovesickalien.com; such a fantastic little comic! Pay him a visit, you won’t regret it!
Don’t you just love finding good deals? Seriously, who doesn’t?! I have found a great place, with great deals, FroggieShops.com!! I was browsing through some of their coupons and found one for Staples! I can get 50% off select items there (Staples)!! And for all of you mommies reading, they have some for the BabyCenter Store! Up to 50% off store wide and 70% on clearance items! There’s quite a selection of stores to choose from, something to suit everyone! I’m in desperate need of a new printer and just found an all in one by Lexmark, which is similar to the one I have now, for only $40.85! I think I paid just over $100 for mine!
This is definitely a great site with some really great deals!
I have had such a sweet tooth the past few days. It’s really ridiculous! The strange thing about it, when I crave sweet stuff, it’s generally something fruity but lately it’s chocolate! I hardly ever just crave chocolate and I might be the only female to ever say that. HAHA!
With this new cooking blog I’m starting, I was trying to decide if it’d be strictly one kind of cooking or wide range of things. I was originally going to do just “southern style” foods because I’m a real whiz with those kinds of dishes. However, I decided that I’d do all kinds of foods and recipes because I like so many different foods!
I’ll probably concentrate mostly on the Southern foods, some Italian and lots and lots of sweet treats! I’ve been told I do amazing cakes, so look forward to some goodies!
As a little girl, I used to loved to play dress up! Both dressing myself up and dolls! In this digital age, kids can now do this over the internet on their own computers! The Cartoon Doll Emporium is the number one dress up site online and it is so much fun! Your kids can dress up celebrities, politicians or even fairy tale characters! I am such a kid at heart, I still enjoy these things!
You can even play a variety of games, take quizzes or browse through some of the most adorable photos! The concept became a phenomenon , which has spawned many imitation sites but there is only one Cartoon Doll Emporium!
Take their free tour now and see just how much fun you and your kids can have!
