Anyone that has downloaded the recent theme I released this morning, please make sure in the images in the “single.php (single post)” files are directing to the right location. I’ve noticed some of them aren’t on a few sites that I know are currently using the theme. My apologies.

If you’d like, I’ve corrected the problem and re-uploaded the zipped file. You can download it by clicking here. My only excuse is that it was “completed” after two in the morning. lol

My nephews are awesome. There’s not much they wouldn’t do for “Aunt Teesa”. Take Trent for instance. He loves to sing and dance, especially sing! He even did his own version of the Pledge of Allegiance (some of you saw the first video of him singing it) and I just have to share it. The video was uploaded to myspace, because it’s easier to display it here this way. Plus, it’s got a faster load time.

You can hear him asking “Fahlease, I wanna hold it!”, which is the camera. You will also note the cherry popsicle stain around his mouth. Is that not typical of a three year old? hahaha

Did you hear.. the “Justice for frogs?”.. haha! This is a perfect example of why I love this kid. No matter what anyone is feeling, he can put a smile on their face.

I absolutely love this time of year. No, not for the reasons you’re thinking! Summer is actually not one of my favorite seasons! My nephews all have birthdays coming up, beginning in July! In order for me to keep up my “Coolest Aunt ever!” reputation, I have to make sure I get them the best gifts! So I’ve been trying to figure out what I could do for them this year! I like getting them gifts and toys they cannot get in stores where they live.

Normally my search for the perfect toy(s) would take weeks, this year however, it did not! Oompa.com has the perfect collection of European Wooden Toys, including baby toys! My 5 year old nephew, Landon loves puzzles! That little boy is such a whiz with them too! There are days that he will pull out every puzzle he owns and put them together, one by one! This is exactly why I’m so excited to see Oompa’s puzzle collection! Landon is really into anything about animals, so he will love the Play Puzzle Farm by Sevi! I love that the pieces are hand painted and finished with a 100% non-toxic varnish. Another great feature is the adorable wooden carrying case! Landon loves to keep his toys put away when he’s not using them, so this will be a feature he’ll love!

Another great puzzle that Landon will surely enjoy is the Play Puzzle Transportation by Sevi! He really likes cars, trucks and especially trains! These pieces have also been hand painted and finished with a 100% non-toxic varnish. What I find really unique about this particular puzzle is that each little vehicle has a moving part! For example on the car piece, the wheels move and on the bulldozer piece, the dumper moves! I’m not sure that I’ve ever seen a puzzle like this before! This puzzle also comes with the wooden carrying case, which will make it easy for him to store away when he’s not using it or carry from his house to school, his friends house or even daycare!

Alrighty. In regards to the free wordpress themes I’ve been working on.. I’ve got one down, three more to go. I’m sorry getting them up is taking a little longer than planned. I’m working really hard to make sure there’s nothing that will need fixing “after the fact”. For “Whimsy”, I feel pretty sure that the kinks are worked out.

This new theme, “Whimsy” is another girly / cutesy one. Jo says I need to do some unisex themes. I guess I’ll keep that in mind next go ’round.

With summer finally here, you’re probably ready to dive right into the various hobbies and projects around the house. You may do many of these things in your garage, since there’s usually available space for things like that compared to other places around the house. But who really wants to work on their projects in their garage with the garage door down? You can’t breathe in the fresh summer air, nor can you enjoy the beautiful sunshine! There’s also the problem with insects, which increases during the warmer months. After spending many hours on Loribug’s site, I was unable to finish up the free themes and get them posted. I’ve been working on them all day long, well, most of the day anyway! I hope to have them up sometime tonight or by tomorrow morning!

I also threw a little something together over at Herbrokentoy.com because I got really bored.

I really need to get back into the swing of things with my photography. If it weren’t for a broken camera, I wouldn’t be so slack but still. Hopefully when I get the new camera (I’m about two weeks away, yay!), I’ll pick things back up again! I really miss it.

I guess it really isn’t much of a surprise, but President Bush has, yet again, vetoed the stem cell research bill. If you put religious reasons aside, why wouldn’t you pass it? (Seriously, I would like input here) I am not a very religious person. I was raised as a southern baptist but at this point in my life, it’s not something I practice. Maybe that’s why I have a hard time understanding why you wouldn’t pass this bill. Think of the lives you could potentially save down the road? Think of all the various diseases that could be treated (possibly cured)! :/

I don’t know about you, but I love celebrity news. I love finding out what celebrities have had babies or are expecting! I’d also be lying if I said I didn’t want to know which celebrities are in trouble with the law (such as in most recent news, Paris Hilton!) and which couples went to splitsville! Well, the title might be a little misleading. I have never tried pulling a rabbit out of my hat, heck, I don’t even have any hats. What I can do though, I can magically close the windows I’m browsing in. This started happening about a week ago, just out of the blue. I was sitting here, typing up an entry in wordpress, when suddenly I look up to the screen to check for spelling, suddenly poof, the browser closed. I’m unable to come up with any kind of explanation for these happenings, which have occurred at least a dozen or more times since last week. Anti-virus software is running, scans have been performed (maybe I’m just being paranoid, hmm) and even scanned for spyware. Nothing, other than the usual things, pop-up.

I think I’m a magician in the making.

I cannot count the times that I have gotten frustrated with a site re-design or with a design for a new site. I can remember several occasions where I sat in front of my computer for hours on end and the ideas I had, would slowly dwindle. The more I thought about the look I wanted or the style I hoped to achieve, the less I was able to do with it. Have you ever felt like that?

Thankfully we have a life line if we find ourselves in this situation again! At osCommerce Templates, you can pay a small fee of $89 for a three month membership (or even purchase the six months or one year) and have full access to all of their templates. You read that right! Browsing for designs at Oscommerce is a breeze! They have them divided into specific categories, which makes it easy to look for the style and types that match your websites genre! For instance, if I were going to re-design my photography portfolio right now, I would click on the category “Arts and photography”. In doing this, I’m instantly taken to the section with templates for sites like my portfolio!

There is no reason to pay a fortune at those other template sites when you can get high quality templates for way less! Stop paying on a per-design/template basis! When you pay your membership fee, download as many templates as you like!

“The pain in my knee is back! I really hate having arthritis at my age”, I say to Jo.

“Are you sure it isn’t Osteo-piritis (purrr eye tis)?” he asks.

I try to keep as straight-a face as possible when I reply, “Am I sure it isn’t what?”.

“Osteopiritis!!! Do I need to spell it out for you?”

“I think that would help. I have no idea what that is!” I tell him.

“It’s that disease people get when they get older, that affects the bones!”

“Erm, you mean Osteoarthritis or Osteoporosis??”, questioning while trying not to burst into a manic fit of laughter.

“No, it’s Osteopiritis. Here, I’ll google it for you!”, said while he’s keying into the Google tab.

“Did you mean: osteoporosis”, states Google!

And he still believes he is right.

In the past, I have had to take out loans for various things. Sometimes it was to have a little extra cash to tie me over, which I’d take off from one of my personal loans, like a line of credit I had secured to my savings account. There was also a time I took out loans for things like photography equipment and even things like furniture, when my husband and I bought our first house! Once we decided to sell our house, we considered home improvement loans, when my husband and I were trying to sell our house. We had some plans on upgrading the kitchen counters to granite and the floors to stone tiles. There were a few things we wanted to do, that we thought would help the re-sell value of our home!

There are many reasons why someone would choose to take out a loan, my best advice to them would be to control their spending, make your payments on time and don’t bite off more than you can chew (ie; Don’t take out a large loan, even if you’re approved for it, if you know you can’t or won’t be able to pay it back). I guess most of that is common sense, but I think you’d be surprised at how many people get in over their necks!

I’m working on a few more free wordpress themes. They should be up and available for download sometime tomorrow! I figured since I had some time on my hands and couldn’t do anything with herbrokentoy.com, I might as well do something else. It’s been raining, so going anywhere is out of the question. There willl be at least two new themes, possibly three or four. I have a bad habit of starting on one thing, getting an idea for another and eventually get tied down to multiple small projects. If only I could finish them all..

Still no word on the status for herbrokentoy.com though, which is really starting to tick me off. I’m sure the office is closed but other times when I’ve had inquiries or issues (though always temporary), they’ve responded right away, no matter what time of day. I’m hoping they’re just busy working out the kinks and not ignoring me. To explain the latter, I am my father’s child. He’s one of those people who thinks everyone is out to get him for one reason or another. Everything is a conspiracy to him. I think I’ve inherited that, if that’s possible (lol).

Side note; I really need to start proof-reading my entries!

I think we all wonder what kind of survivor skills we have and how well we could survive in certain situations. Could you imagine being stuck in a strange place, an unknown city and not have money, food or drink or even friends? It’d be a nightmare, turned reality for sure!

After getting over the initial shock of something like that happening, I think I would be in “survival mode”. I’m not sure I would enjoy sleeping on the streets. I’m not sure if that would even be an option because it seems to be so dangerous (especially for females). The weather itself wouldn’t bother me, unless it was absolutely freezing, was scorching or was severe. A little rain won’t hurt me! I think I would try and seek shelter at the Churches in this strange city, perhaps even turning to hotels / motels or organizations that provide assistance for the homeless. I would offer to help those organizations, to “earn my keep”, even if it wasn’t necessary! I’m sure I could also earn something with my talents and creativity. Perhaps I could draw or paint portraits of tourist/people in the city.

One thing is for sure, once I got back on my feet and communication was no longer an issue, I would definitely have a lot of interesting things to blog about!!
