Eye of the Dolphin

I have always been fascinated by dolphins. When I go to the beach, I get up extra early for sunrise because you can usually spot several of them following behind the shrimp boats coming back into the marina.

There’s a new movie out called Eye of the Dolphin - it’s about a young girl, Alyssa, who gets expelled from high school and is forced to live with her father. A feather is a dolphin researcher that doesn’t have the time for his unruly teenage girl. Unexpectedly, Alyssa forms a bond with an orphaned, wild dolphin and soon learns they can bring hope to the people of her new home.

You can view the movie trailer here or read more about the movie, dates and casts information by visiting the movie website - Eyeofthedolphin.net.

This should be a wonderful family movie. I hope I can convince Jo to go see it with me.

  • I’m definitely going to go see this one. I read some of the reviews on IMDB and it sounds like it’s not your usual cheesy family flick. And you can tell from the trailer that there is some really beautiful underwater stuff and great stuff with the dolphins. It’s worth a try.

  • i’ve seen this movie! :)
saw it in an advance screening…awesome movie…i really enjoyed it! even though i’m supposed to be too old to enjoy a teen movie, hoho

The view of Bahamas is breath-taking! Also the underwater scenes are so amazing~~~ it’s just BEAUTIFUL

I like the story line and I really feel i can relate to the girl (Carly Schroeder). The whole come-to-age story reminds me some of my experience so when I saw the ending I was really really moved. The girl is so brave and I like the ending.

Besides that the acting is GREAT. I really like Carly Schroeder. She did a very good job in the movie. I noticed her years ago in “Lizzie McGuire” and “Mean Creek”. I thought she was good but she’s really gotten better. Only this summer she has two movies in theaters “Gracie” and “Eye of the Dolphin”.

btw, i’ve saved the poster for wallpaper…it’s been so hot. looking at the pix makes me feel a little cooler LOl
