We are almost finished with everything and boy am I ever happy about that. We woke up extra early this morning to finish up a few things and it has paid off. The only thing left to do is label the boxes and pack up the truck.

We decided we are not going to take a few things - large TV, computer desks and various home decor like my two silk trees. There is just no room for any of that in my truck and we cannot afford to pay $800+ for a uhaul truck. Anything that can fit into my truck comfortably will go and the things that cannot will be donate this afternoon.

I am still very worried about the cats. I had made the decision to place them both into a fostering no-kill organization here in Calgary but neither of those places are accepting anymore cats at this time. I absolutely refuse to put them in a regular shelter because it would devastate not only my cats, but me too. I do not want my cats living in a cage for x amount of time to only be “put down”. Jo has an aunt here that we are waiting to hear from and if she decides in the end that she does not want them, they will be going with us but I have no idea how we will make this work (not the cats, just everything in the truck in general). I did not realize how much crap we accumulated in the six months we have been in Calgary.
