One of my favorite rooms in a house is the kitchen and for me personally, I am very picky about the colors used in my own. I tend to lean more towards white cabinetry and prefer granite counters but I am open to other ideas. I hope that when Jo and I buy our next home, we’ll have the opportunity to do more in our kitchen than we have in the past. In fact, I would love to have a luxury kitchen if the funds are available to us.
In trying to get some ideas on things we can incorporate into our own kitchen, I was browsing through the Designer Kitchen Gallery over at EW Kitchens. I notice that I tend to go for more traditional styles than anything else, so naturally that was the first gallery I browsed through. On page 3, I fell in love - beautiful white cabinetry, stainless steel, recessed lighting and gorgeous honey colored hardwood floors - it’s no wonder. This particular design reminds me a lot of the French Country styles, which is a favorite of mine.
Since I’m opening myself to other ideas, I decided I would also check out the design under the Transitional and Contemporary galleries, which my husband browsed through with me. We mutually agreed that page 9 under the Transitional was our favorite of that section - the neutral color pallet works really well in this design - and page 3 under the Contemporary was our favorite of that section - the dark, richness of the cabinetry is perfect with the stainless steel.
If you’re looking for ideas for your own kitchen project, you should definitely check out the Designer Kitchen Galleries over at EWKitchens.com. I’m really glad I did. I have some great ideas to work with!
