At Embree

I hope to get a chance to take more photos of this soon, before the ice thaws/melts. It’s really, really eerie feeling out there. Especially so in the Winter, on an overcast day like today.

There are many more shipwrecks in our area, so I’m going to try and shoot those too. Someday soon.

Long, long day

I swear it felt like the moment I got to sleep, I woke up. We left the house around 9am this morning and headed for Gander to do some light shopping. I managed to pick up a new camera bag, 3 outfits and several canvases for some paintings I’m going to start working on sometime tomorrow. After we got back into town, I went with my mother in law to do some grocery shopping and to take my sister in law to her doctors appointment. Then, after that, I pleaded for my mother in law to take me down to Embree so that I could take some pictures of a shipwreck there. I’ll have to get those posted later on. I can’t believe how close we were able to get to it. I am absolutely exhausted now, so I doubt you’ll see much of me this evening.

I sure could use a nice little vacation. My, oh my. Do I ever wish I could book a cheap hotel Las Vegas for a few days, just to get away. I can’t very well say I’d be relaxing though. Vegas is way too exciting, so there’s no way I would leave myself barricaded in my room. Not a chance!

I should get the rest of these photos uploaded though. I can’t wait to share them all.

I can help?

I guess Bella found the word that I couldn’t….

Organization

I haven’t been this organized in a long, long time. Jo turned our dresser into a clothing display and it was really starting to tick me off, so I decided to do something about it. What started out as putting away the clothes he’d placed on the dresser actually led to me organizing the entire room. I pulled out a few drawers and noticed that the ones that contained his clothing were a mess. A big, big mess. He’s one of those people that insists on pulling out a shirt from the bottom of the drawer with total disregard for the other clothes in it. So annoying. Anywho. I pulled everything out and refolded everything and put it all back in. I dare him to get them back to that state again. LOL

Another thing that really annoyed me today was the fact he’d put our socks (yes, both of our socks) into the erm… undergarment drawer. I know I’m not the only person who keeps her undergarments and lingerie in their own drawer, so I don’t understand why he’s finding it so hard to understand that. If I let him have his way, we’d have socks, undergarments, pajamas, dress clothes, jeans and anything else all in one drawer. Ha, ha! I told him if I caught him doing any of these things again though, he’d be reorganizing them next time.

New lens

I have my eyes on a new camera lens. I’ve spent most of the day browsing around, searching for the lowest price. I think I’ll look a bit more before I commit to something because I want to be sure I’m getting the best buy. If I can get away with it for under $100, I’ll be A-OK. Jo got his income tax refund earlier this week and promised me a new lens, though I didn’t even ask for it. He bought himself a few things, so I guess he felt guilty.. lol. Either way, it worked out in my favor and I can’t wait to get my zoom lens!

In other news; I feel like I’m coming down with a sore throat. Yuck. I think it’s due to the crazy cold weather and possibly all of the smoking that goes on in the house. Meh. I’m stuffed up the majority of the time, but this is the first time that my throat has been this irritated.
