With money being fairly tight around here, my husband and I have had to resort to different ways of saving money. Before, when we both brought in nice incomes, we could just stash some into our savings account. That, surprisingly, worked for many months. After moving here to Newfoundland we realized that we’d have to figure out how to save our money in other places in order to keep our savings account plump. I find it hard to believe that there was a time in my life when I turned my nose up at the idea of using a coupon. That time, of course, was a time when someone else paid my way. At this point in my life, there’s rarely an occasion where I won’t or don’t use a discount coupon for a purchase. I guess I’ve become the bargain shopper I never thought I’d be. I would rather find a good sale or discount than just toss extra cash someone else’s way.

I’ve just learned about a new website that caters to my (and anyone else who likes to save money when making a purchase) discount shopping needs: WebbyPlanet.com. Here, when a consumer makes a purchase online at their favorite stores, they can save with instant discount coupons. Consumers can also occasionally find printable coupons for purchases made in-store. Browsing for deals, coupons and discounts is easy. You can choose to select by category (categories like; electronics, pet supplies, web services, health and home and living), which after choosing will take you to a list of stores that fit that category or by scrolling down further and selection “All Stores” and searching directly for your them. Some of the stores you’ll find include; Dell, Sephora and Eddie Bauer, to name a few. WebbyPlanet.com keeps you up to date with all the latest information and updates regarding sales and discounts, daily.

I won’t pay full price for something if I don’t have to. I don’t know why anyone would pay full price for anything if there’s a discount, sale or coupon available.

I hate spending money. Unfortunately I have to spend money to survive. Now that the holidays are drawing near, I want to make sure that when I spend money gifts, that money stretches a long ways. Of course I want to be able to give, give, give but in order to do that, I have to make sure I’m shopping sales, finding good deals and bargains and of course, using coupons. I’ve recently learned about Online Coupons At CouponJelly.com, where I can find coupons for many of my favorite stores like Dell, Gap and Staples to name a few. I could really use some Dell coupons right now because Jo and I are planning to buy a laptop computer in the near future.

CouponJelly.com adds coupons daily which include things like free shipping, some free items and various other discounts. Be sure you sign up for the newsletter when you visit too because they also provide deals of the week in their newsletter.

You have to love saving money when you spend it!

For the last few months, I have been in the market for a new camera. I have had to put it off a few times due to small things coming up or because of the prices going up on the couple that I have narrowed it down to. I decided to see if I could find them for less on AuctionSHARK and what do you know? I did! I found that the Nikon D80 runs between $880.00 - $1,300.00 through camera stores like Ritz Camera, Amazon and even Ebay. In fact, I found a bundle for the D80, which includes 3 lenses (2 of them Sigma) for less than $1,100.

I found the search feature on AuctionSHARK very easy to use. When searching for the camera, all I had to do was click the thumbnail for “digital cameras” on the main page. This took me to a list of cameras, which also provided me with thumbnails of the cameras. Since I love handbags, I also decided to try out the keyword search and browse Guess handbags (since the last one did not work out). I typed in “Guess handbags” and was taken to pages upon pages of Guess hanbags for sell through Amazon and Ebay. By narrowing your search down, whether by keyword or even category, you will find that it saves you a lot of time!

There are over 5,000 stores to search through, with over 100 million products listed. You can find anything from electronics, to handbags, to furniture and even things like beauty products on AuctionSHARK. I have bookmarked the site, that way when I do have the funds to finally buy my camera, I will be able to make sure I am getting a great price.

Just because I’m on a budget doesn’t mean I can’t shop for the things I love, it just means I have to be a little more creative - looking for bargains, shopping sales, hitting the clearance racks and of course, using coupons or coupon codes.

I recently found this little gem - Deal Locker. One of the things I instantly appreciate is the lack of clutter on the site. They feature a few stores and also, display several of their popular categories on their homepage. I think this is very convenient. If these aren’t stores you’re interested in or the categories aren’t for you, simply key in what you’re looking for into the search box in the center of the homepage and run a coupon search. Many of you know of my weakness for handbags (a weakness many of you share with me). I decided to see if I could find handbag coupons, and guess what? I did - 40 coupons to be exact. I decided to go one step further and search by stores and since I’m on this handbag thing, I figured I’d see what kind of stores I could find that would cater to this. One of my favorite sites to shop is eBags. I was excited to see how many eBags coupons they have! Being a photographer, I also decided to search for cameras. I’m currently in the market for a new digital camera, so I decided to give it another go. I did a search for Canon and while it didn’t return any coupons for the camera I’m looking for, I do see previous Canon coupons for the popular Canon Digital Rebel XTI that some of you have taken an interest to.

They’ve really simplified searching. It’s easy for me to find coupons for the things I want. Within a matter of minutes, I was able to search for coupons on handbags and handbag stores. I was also able to search for a specific brand name, Canon, while looking for digital camera coupons. Deal Locker even has a bookmarklet feature, which allows users of Firefox one click access to coupons on any page.

Deal Locker provides a place where people like you and me can find coupons and coupon codes to our favorite stores, for our favorite items. Trying to stick to a budget can sometimes be difficult. Especially when it comes to those items you just have to have or some of the items you really need. That is where a coupon will come in handy (When aren’t they, right??)! I use coupons fairly often, whether I’m physically in one of the stores I love (grocery or department) or even online. My husband and I just purchased a new mattress set and because of this, we have decided to also purchase new bedding! We have decided to browse around at Overstock. I can save $10 on a purchase of $99.

They have a great selection of scrap-booking supplies! I think I’ll have to splurge a little and add some more pages to my own scrapbooks!

Don’t you just love finding good deals? Seriously, who doesn’t?! I have found a great place, with great deals, FroggieShops.com!! I was browsing through some of their coupons and found one for Staples! I can get 50% off select items there (Staples)!! And for all of you mommies reading, they have some for the BabyCenter Store! Up to 50% off store wide and 70% on clearance items! There’s quite a selection of stores to choose from, something to suit everyone! I’m in desperate need of a new printer and just found an all in one by Lexmark, which is similar to the one I have now, for only $40.85! I think I paid just over $100 for mine!

This is definitely a great site with some really great deals!

You can get coupons for places like Best Buy, which happens to be one of my personal favorites, you know being a digital junkie and all!! And being “domesticated”, you know I’m going to be all over the Wal-mart coupons!

While you’re there, you should also check out Dell Home for coupons! They’ve got some pretty amazing deals for all of you computer junkies!!

There is just such a wide range of stores that you can choose from! There’s even one for Kohls!! I know some of will just love that!!

Who doesn’t enjoy a great product at a great price? You can find some pretty great deals on products like the Euro Seal, used to keep your food and it’s flavors fresh! And if you love pasta as much as I do, you might enjoy the Pasta Cooker, makes for fast cooking and very easy clean up! Or maybe the Microfiber Cloths would interests you?
