I guess Bella found the word that I couldn’t….

I really need to get my rump in gear. These last couple of days have left me so unmotivated, to do anything. I did manage to whip up a couple of batches of homemade muffins (chocolate chip for one, blueberry for the other). I think I’ll work on getting that recipe, along with my chicken lasagna recipe up on my cooking blog tonight. I also have a few things I need to get crackin’ on online. To those I’ve promised help to, I’ll be getting in touch with you in the next day or so. I’m horribly behind on everything, which is something I hate about being sick.
Anywho.
I leave you with this. She was so amazed by the falling snow.

My pretty baby hasn’t been feeling well today. She’s been exceptionally needy. She’s been needy in the past, however, since moving here she’s been very timid and keeps to herself a lot unless Jo or myself happens to be around. She’s currently sleeping in a chair beside me but yesterday, she was posing for the camera.

She has her daddy’s eyes… lol.
I have been taking a lot of pictures of my kids lately and just realized I haven’t shared a single one! This is one of my favorites of Bella because she actually sat still long enough to capture a decent picture. It’s amazing what a cupcake sitting in front of Bella’s face will do… LOL. And no, she didn’t get the cupcake. Ha, ha.

My cats often pretend they hate one another. You’ll usually catch them rooms apart. If it happens to be a strange day where they’re actually in the same room together, they’re usually hissing at one another, pawing at one another or down right fighting. There have only been a few occasions when they’ve been “playful” or acted lovingly toward one another. I guess today is one of those days. A strange, strange day in the life of Jynx and Bella. I couldn’t find either of them earlier this afternoon. I looked everywhere, yet they were right under my nose (well, sort of).

Caught, mid-lick!
Bella cracks me up. It isn’t like she’s not playful or anything but Bella has been extremely playful this morning. I was sitting here searching for gifts online when I see her bounce into the dinning room out of the corner of my left eye. This is what I caught, and notice she “catches” me in the end. Haha!
And even now, about an hour later, she’s still playing with that thing!
PS; Don’t forget about my contest.
The excitement is building. In just a few days, we will be hitting the road (the long, long road) to Newfoundland from Alberta. A part of me is a little nervous about the drive. I guess that is normal though, for such a long trip .. or any trip really. We have our route all mapped out, including our stops. I am really excited about our stay in Ottawa (with some of Jo’s relatives). It should be really nice, plus we will save a little bit of money since we will not need a hotel that night.
We still have not found a place for Bella, so maybe that will go my way and I will be able to bring both of my babies. I mean, we did get the OK, right? If all else fails, we will just have them placed in a kennel (though it will be a fairly decent drive away) until we get moved into our own place. I would really hate for the cats to cause a big stink. I do not mean a stink from the litter box (though I guess you could argue that one too). I mean from the messes that they make. Bella goes through these little fits where she runs around like she is absolutely insane. I know she is still a kitten and all, and I know she is only playing but still. Plus, like I said, I really do not think Karen thought about it through and through when she told us to bring them.
I think I will go soak my legs in some hot water now. They are getting all achy again!
I’m really starting to wonder if those are appropriate nicknames for my two cats, Bella and Jynx!! I really can’t remember how the names sprung to mind, other than “Smell” Rhymed with Bell and we usually call Bella, Bell-Bell (if not Smell Bell). Then there’s Jynx, who is most often referred to as “Jynxy” (the resident grump of the household). Stinky rhymes with Jynxy, so maybe that’s just how it happened. Hrm..
I wish you could see the two of them right now. We’ve just bought new bedding, which is now on the new bed and they wasted absolutely no time claiming the bed. Bella is sprawled out across the bed, while Jynx is sprawled out mostly on Jo’s side of the bed! Normally they’d be clawing one another’s eyes out by now but not tonight! They’re too content!
Speaking of cats though. I’ve mentioned in the past that Bella is a strange one. Well, I’m starting to think she has a sweet tooth! I had a small box of TimBits (from Tim Horton’s) sitting on my desk. There were two left in the box but the box was closed. She likes to hop up on my desk, which I think is because she wants to send naughty messages to my IM friends (haha, just kidding). Anyway. She hopped up on my desk and somehow managed to get her chubby paws down into the box, and also managed to pull one of the TimBits out of the box! She looked at me, after doing this, like “Oh, did you see that mommy?? That TimBit hopped right out of the box and onto my claw!!”. Like she’s really surprised the TimBit is stuck to her claw or something! She waves it in front of her like it’s a press-on-nail that she’s very proud of! Hahaha! Of course I would never let my cats eat a donut, even a small one like a TimBit. I took the TimBit away and put it into the trashcan and she looked at me, as if to say “Shewww.. my mommy is a lifesaver!!! *insert Bella staring at her claw as if she misses that delicious TimBit that she ALMOST got to eat*”!!! Not 10 seconds after putting the TimBit into the trash, did she reach her chubby paw back into the TimBit box (yes, I know I should have thrown the whole thing out.. but someone might have wanted that last TimBit lol) and did the same thing again!!! TimBit = attached to Bella’s claw! At this point, I’m having a hard time being upset that she’s done this because number one, it’s cute as heck and number two, it’s hilarious! So again, I take away her beloved TimBit, that she’s worked so hard for again and threw it away! This time, I threw away the box too, it’s not like anything was left in it this time! When I returned back to my desk, I caught Bella licking her paw.. and she just kept licking and licking.. and licking! The sound of each lick began to annoy me, haha! I’m really surprised there’s any fur left on her right paw. Even after I cleaned them off, she kept licking it!
I guess “mommy” didn’t really stop her from enjoying her “treat”!
