Teresa, morphed

I am in a bit of creative and silly mood today, so I decided to try out the Morpheus Photo-Morpher, using a couple of my own photos. I was pleasantly surprised to find it so easy to use. You see, I am one of those people who can make any and everything, difficult. Not the case with this program. It is actually one of the easiest photo programs I have ever used. All I had to do was choose the layout wizard from the file tab, then I chose my two photos (one of which was just a silly candid). I also chose to preview it before saving it, just so I could see just how funny it might be.

You can create funny celebrity morphs (hey, you know those are good for a laugh or two, or three) and morphs of you and your pet (or other people and their pets). What I love most, other than the LOL-factor of some of thse, is that you can morph photos of yourself or loved one from over the years. I may need to dig around for some of my childhood photos and see what I can come up with.

Onto my results.

This is the result of my first test - sticking your tongue out aids in the concentration process..;

I have plans to do a couple of my nephews and email them to my dad, sister and my mom. Actually, I think I have a few funny photos of my dad too, in his scuba gear (trust me, that in and of itself is funny). That would make a funny birthday surprise to his email, don’t you think?

Check out Zoombli for more information or to get the Morpheus Photo-Morpher yourself. I would love to see some of your own results. I have a feeling a few of you will be able to come up with some really hilarious morphs and I cannot wait to see them!

Oh, how nifty!

Earlier this evening I was informed that I was somewhat featured in an article about “Paid blogging”. I live nowhere near the city this piece was featured in but it’s pretty amazing that I was mentioned, along with my blog link and things like this:

On her Weblog, Teresa Jones’ “semidaily ramblings of a housewife” include posts about the heat, the deterioration of her bathroom floor and her love of handbags.

Lori and I had a good chuckle about the “love of handbags” simply because that’s so “me” right now! Though really, when has that ever not been me (Jo, Stacey, Jess - back me up on that)?

When I was initially informed about this, my heart skipped about a thousand beats and I almost choked. Why? Because I was truly worried I would wind up reading a negative piece - there’s just so much negative flack when it comes to what “I” and so many other bloggers do in regards to paid blogging! You see, many bloggers have previously been interviewed only to have their words, feedback, and positive tone turned into something completely negative!

I’m happy to say, however, this was a positive piece! I’m so excited that my name and website were mentioned that I could do backflips! Wouldn’t that be a sight for sore eyes? I’m sure I’d hurt myself in the process!

Leo Laporte coolness

I logged into the dashboard for herbrokentoy.com to correct a typo and I noticed a referral.. that really just stood out! I recognized it the second I saw the first word, Leo. I bounced up and down in my chair, to the point where the cats took off into hiding!

Leo Laporte from G4 has a vox, anyone who watches his show knows this. Well, when I clicked on the referral link, I see the theme I did for vox’s banner contest.. back, erm, sometime! Anyway, that part isn’t important. The important thing is Leo has made this an official “Best day ever”! hehe

You might think “Wow, so what..” but it’s just cool to me, so let me enjoy it, will ya?
