Hello!

As you’ve probably already guessed, I’m still quite busy! I’m busting my butt with work, which again, I am really enjoying! Some of you have emailed me recently, and I promise to get to those before I head to bed!

The free themes are back up and running again. I’m guessing the downtime had something to do with tropical storm Fay. It was only down for a couple of days, but I know someone of you were here looking for those free themes, so again, I’m really sorry about the downtime.

I’ve got something else I want to share too! Some of you already know this since it was posted elsewhere, but anyway.. my husband and I have decided we’re going to adopt. We’re not going to do it for at least 2 years though, since Jo will be finishing up his schooling and what not but it’s still very exciting and I really can’t wait to begin the experience of being a parent!

OK, off to respond to emails!

WP themes downloads

The links for the Wordpress themes aren’t working. The reason for that is that the server/domain they’re hosted on is down. Not only that, but the host itself is down too. No idea what’s going on, but if it’s not back up within 24 hours I’ll contact them by phone (it’s only a sales line, so I don’t even know if I’ll get very far). It’s frustrating, I know. I’m sorry for the inconvenience this is causing. I’ve read all of your emails and figured instead of replying to each one individually, I’d post this notice.

If I had a way to get those zipped files, I’d upload them elsewhere. Unfortunately those files are not on this laptop and my desktop PC will not connect to the internet. Sorry guys and gals!

Finally selling it

Edit; Camera has SOLD!

I’ve finally decided to sell my camera. Life is becoming far too hectic for me to keep up with photography, which is a shame. I also have plans to purchase a different brand in the future.. so I’m going to go ahead and sell my current one now since it’s not being used regularly.

The goods;

Olympus e-500
Zuiko 14-45mm lens
Zuiko 35mm macro lens
1GB memory card
1 battery
1 battery charger
All factory items; software, manual, USB cable, straps.. etc.

I will also include the camera bag I use, which fits the body and the 2 lenses perfectly.

I’m asking $450 for everything, OBO. I’ve had this camera since this past Christmas, and it takes wonderful photos. Feel free to check some of them out on my flickr account; http://flickr.com/photos/herbrokentoy I think I have them all tagged “olympus e-500.” $450 is a GREAT price for what you’re getting BTW.

You should know that there are NO signs of wear/use at all on the camera or the lenses. I’m gentle with my cameras/lenses.

If you’re interested, feel free to leave a comment on this entry or email me at helloreese@gmail.com.

Sorry, no other promotional items are included! ;)

You’ll never guess

You’ll never guess that I’ve been busy… Total sarcasm. I’ve had a bee in my bonnet for the last few weeks. Staying steady with design work, while juggling home life, photography and well.. just life in general.

I have some great news to share. Chic Blog Design is no more. Why? Easy. I’ve joined the creative force that is Delicious Design Studio. Jess is amazing, and when I caught a “tweet” she wrote recently about needing someone to help with Wordpress design.. I simply couldn’t ignore it. I’ve been wanting a steady partner since I started doing this stuff, and though my darling Helen put out a couple of themes, I knew in my heart that she was a new mom and she’s going to be dedicating a lot of her time to little Lily. Between feedings, bathing and crazy schedules, I figured she’d be catching up on sleep during the downtime rather than doing anything internet-y. So, I sent over a little email to Jess and offered my help. What came after was a fabulous partnership that I’m stoked about! I cannot even tell you how happy I am about this.

I just wanted to share that with you, in case you stumble on Chic Blog Design before I redirect it! :)

Now if I had one of those used Harleys, I’d hop on it and head on out of town for a little while!

Poor Trent

I found out that Trent, my youngest nephew, may not be able to start Pre K this year. The classes are at full capacity and he’s still in 7th position on the waiting list. Classes start in the morning, so it’s not looking good. He was looking forward to it, surprisingly enough, so he’s pretty bummed out. I think it’s pretty hopeless at this point. There’s probably better luck finding a perfect acne cure before he’ll make it in before the AM.

Anyway. I sat down to watch some TV earlier but was disappointed to find nothing on. Including the Olympics, as I mentioned previously. I guess Trent’s not the only one that’s bummed out tonight! We resorted to watching a movie, which lead to me forgetting that I still had my messengers running. Oops. Sorry Stacey!

This & that for an update

I’m still feeling a little under the weather. Fun times! It’s not as bad as it started out though, thank goodness. The stuffiness (sinus, I think) has nearly subsided, and really all that I’m left with it the headache. I also woke up with a stiff shoulder this morning, which was probably due to awkward sleeping positions. I just could not get comfortable. Don’t you hate nights like those?

I thought I would be excited about the Olympics, as I have in the past. Not so much this time. We have one station here that’s running coverage and quite frankly, it sucks. I only look forward to diving and gymnastics, though I can occasionally handle swimming. There’s not much else that I’m interested in. Well last night I sat down to watch gymnastics after they mentioned they’d soon be going to it. I should have known better. It seems that swimming is all the rage. I got to watch a couple events before they went back to swimming. So irritating. I’m hoping it won’t be like this for all of the gymnastics coverage but I’m thinking it will.

What events do you watch? Are you getting full coverage of any of the events (besides dang swimming)?

Now if you’ll excuse me. I need to check out prices on RAM. We’re looking to buy memory, or I should say extra memory, for my old computer. We’re going to be giving it to my in laws since theirs went kaput a few days ago.

My dad

My dad can be so random sometimes. One second we’ll be talking about the weather or what my nephews are doing, the next minute he’s talking about needing a colon cleanser. Thanks dad! I miss him though, even his old stories of “way back when.” His stories are always more dramatic (and at times traumatic) than anyone’s. I think a lot of parents, and grandparents, are like that though. I guess in a way they’re right though. My dad grew up poor and worked from the time he was like 9 years old. Plus, (lol) he had to walk 10 miles to school each day. Up hill, down hill, in the rain and in the snow (mine you, he grew up and still lives in south Georgia). I can’t say that I believe the snow one…

Speaking of dad though; I really need to give him a call tomorrow. Our last phone call was mid-week. I try to talk to my family a couple of times a week, you know, to keep sane!
